Dilley is a renowned international public speaker, who gets his audience enthralled every time he speaks. He has incredible depth of experience with multinational companies at executive level and has depth of knowledge in many areas relevant to leadership development. He has mentored numerous executives to international success.
Dilley was born on the coast of Durban South Africa, and is conversant in English, Zulu, French, Afrikaans and Telegu, (his Ancestral Mother tongue, where his Grandparents migrated from Andhra Pradesh India to South Africa some 150 years ago.).
As a “Mascot” of an Eccentric, Focused and extremely successful Business Leader, Dilley at a very young age observed his Grandfathers Leadership skills, both personally in the Community and Professionally in Business, despite his lack of “Western Academic Qualifications”.
Dilley at this tender age realized that it was the Single Mindedness of Purpose, coupled with a Positive Mental Attitude, despite the tremendous hardships and challenges in a Foreign Country that drove his Grandfather to be one of the most successful Business and Respected Community Leaders at that Time, thus leaving a positive contribution and legacy when he departed, fulfilled at 94 years of Age.
While growing up as a Teenager in South Africa, Dilley experienced 1st hand the harsh realities of the Enforced Imposition of Apartheid and the Segregated Group Areas, based on Racial groupings, which ultimately permeated through, Academia, Business, Social and Cultural Interactions.
Coupled with this Curiosity of “What made People Tick” and the Apartheid Reality in SA, this accelerated Dilley’s interest to migrate outside South Africa, with the intent to better socially interact and understand People, Communities and Businesses in an “Open Society”.
After Spending years across 5 Continents, Observing, Researching and Interacting with Individuals, Communities and Businesses Primarily across UK, USA, Europe, India, China, Mexico and Australasia, where Dilley Lead and Developed Successful Teams and Businesses, across various cultures and Language Groupings, Dilley discovered that “Most People across the Globe are Influenced and in some cases Conditioned by their immediate Environments”.
This Influenced both their Personal as well as their Business Values and Culture Creation.
To date, when Identifying, Recruiting, Grooming and Developing Team Members, Dilley has NOT looked at a Prospective Candidates CV, prior to the initial 1st Interview.
Instead ALL candidates across all cultures, in various countries were employed on the basis of “Having the RIGHT Attitude”, and a POSITIVE Motivation to Add PERSONAL Value.
The list of Companies with whom he has worked Internationally includes some of the Largest Organisations in UK, USA, Europe, India, China, Australasia.
During his 40 years in Business he has Consulted Globally with Executives, Companies, Governments and Academia.
Since returning to South Africa in 1992, Dilley has been passionate about Implementing his Guiding, Coaching, Mentoring and Leadership knowledge gained globally, to aspiring Leaders in Middle East, Asia, Europe and African countries, namely: South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, DRC, Ghana, Kenya & Nigeria.
Of particular interest is the development of African Business Leaders, Entrepreneurs and Graduates, with the ultimate goal of developing Innovate Thought Leadership, Job Creation and Business Sustainability, thus contributing to the African Economy and the development of Happy and Self Fulfilled Individuals, Communities and Businesses.
Dilley is currently an active Member of ULP (Unleashing Leadership Potential), an Organisation, based in Johannesburg South Africa, focused on Developing Young, Aspiring African Leaders.
Dilleys’ Objective is to Create People with a GREATER Capacity to Produce RESULTS, with a Greater CONFIDENCE, in their PERSONAL Ability to do so.
